Abstract
We study numerically the build-up of entanglement entropy between two colliding, non relativistic particles, that are driven by the plain Schrödinger equation containing local, finite range potentials, and whose initial state is the product of two independent wave packets. Different situations are considered, ranging from a tunnel and mirror effect at low energy in front of a barrier, to higher energies, and also attraction rather than repulsion. While the calculated wave functions and density matrices significantly depend on the physical situations described by our models, the build-up trends and values in time of entanglement entropy look surprisingly alike one another.
