Abstract
We provide a counterexample to the weak Gibbs and regularity conjectures. The example is a spin-one system on the square lattice with a translation-invariant nearest-neighbor interaction. At high temperatures and high on-site field strengths, it has a unique KMS state that does not have the weak Gibbs or regularity properties.
